I offer you a safe, supportive space to explore whatever problems and issues you want to bring to counselling. I have experience of counselling on a wide range of issues including relationship difficulties/endings, gender and sexuality, trauma and abuse.

I believe that, given the right conditions, we can all find a way out of our difficulties and through our pain, to find a place in the world where we are comfortable. But at times, seeing a way forward and believing that things can get better can feel impossible. This is where counselling can help.

As a counsellor, I listen and try to understand the difficulties from your point of view. This can help you see things more clearly, understand more about yourself and ‘move on’ from difficult and painful experiences.

Our work together might be short term, perhaps a few sessions working towards a specific goal, or longer term, perhaps exploring painful issues that have been there for a long time. Whatever feels right for you.

I am trained and qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) – an evidence based therapy treatment which uses natural process to help a range of difficulties that people bring to counselling, including trauma, abuse and anxiety.

The kind of issues I have experience of working with include:

  • Relationship difficulties/endings
  • Gender and Sexuality
  • Trauma and abuse
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Stress management
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Eating disorders
