My name is Jenny, and I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. Life can be overwhelming sometimes; this may be because of something that has happened in our past and has stayed with us, or because of circumstances in our present that are making things difficult.

I offer person-centred counselling sessions based on empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence. I will help you to explore the reasons which have brought you to counselling without judgement and achieve your goals. We all have the potential to grow, thrive and self-actualise and it is my goal to support you in this process.

I am a member of the BACP and work within their ethical framework and guidelines. In my practice I combine elements from Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Person-Centred Theory and Attachment Theory to tailor every session to the individual client.

I think the most important element to counselling is space; space to reflect, think, talk, be listened to, feel understood and space to simply be without judgement. Experiencing such a space often enables people to make sense of their experiences and understand how they relate to themselves, others and the world around them.

I aim to create this space by listening and building a safe and honest relationship with you. Sessions will be led by whatever you choose to bring, and we will take the time to explore what might be going on for you and how to reach your goals. Together we can use this space to help you develop tools and strategies to deal with life’s stressors and become more confident within yourself and the world.
