By looking at this website you are taking the first steps to seeking help and I understand how hard that can be.

I offer counselling to adults and young people from the age of thirteen. I have worked in education, charity organisations, women’s health, GP surgeries and private practice.

During our journey from childhood to later life, we may experience difficult times.  Sometimes these difficulties are hard to manage on our own.  Counselling can give you the space to talk and explore experiences, thoughts and feelings.  By providing a safe confidential space for counselling, is the start to building trust. When we feel we can trust we find ourselves in an easier place to talk.

Though my training is integrative, I work in a person centred way, offering a gentle approach.

I have worked for over 15 years as a school counsellor in a secondary school for both students and staff. Young people experience a lot of change during this period of their lives and transition can be difficult for them. In addition to this they may be experiencing other problems.  Being able to speak to someone where they can build a trusting therapeutic relationship, can help with exploring their situations, thoughts and feelings, and empower them to make their own decisions and move forward.

My work in charity organisations has been with young people and adults. These are a few of the issues brought to counselling. Bereavement and loss, rape and sexual abuse, divorce and separation, sexuality, bullying, work related issues, self-esteem and confidence. So if you are experiencing difficulties from the past, present or thoughts about the future, is now not the time to move forward and seek help?
