Shamse Hassan

I am a qualified integrative relational psychotherapist, with a wealth of experience working with individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing personal challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, loss or marginalisation.

Drawing on many therapeutic modalities, my approach is trauma and attachment-informed, with talking therapy at the centre of the dyadic work, integrating somatic (body and breath work), creativity and mindfulness to explore, restore and heal. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to reflect and feel empowered. With an emphasis on acceptance, empathy, curiosity and inclusivity, I work collaboratively with my clients to understand the impact of past experiences while fostering emotional resilience and self-compassion, and work to gain a sense of  feeling grounded in the here and now. I also offer a client-led space for simply seeking time to share experiences, explore feelings, connect with the most authentic parts of the self, and be truly heard. Whether addressing specific trauma, loss and grief, identity exploration, discrimination based on ethnicity, gender identification, sexual orientation, disability or neurodivergence, or taking the step to begin a journey of connection and reflection, I am committed to supporting individuals in reclaiming a sense of self, building healthy relationships and finding hope.

I charge £60 per session.
