Gill Bradley

I am a BACP member and following on from my psychology degree I have completed a diploma in counselling.

I believe difficulties arise in our lives for a whole variety of reasons. Many of us find ourselves in a situation where we are juggling work and home lives. Pressures difficult relationships and work stress can all lead to feelings of dissatisfaction despair and distress.

I work in guided self exploration which enables you to overcome negative feelings that are affecting your lives. My desire is to provide a safe and secure environment where feelings can be expressed and explored. To find ways in which you can move from difficult dark places to a brighter and more fulfilling way of being.

I work in an integrative style with the counselling relationship at the centre. This means that my focus and attention is always with you my client and the sessions are geared to the changes you want to make in your life in ways that work for you. I draw on strategies used in models such as solution focused therapy cognitive therapy and transactional analysis. All of my counselling work is carried out within the Cornerstone philosophy (please see “about our counselling”).

In my experience within the emergency services I have worked with clients who have work place problems and stresses that may spill over to home life. I also have experience working with clients who have problems following a traumatic event as well as anxiety stress bereavement and loneliness.
