Lisa Cooper

Hello, my name is Lisa and I offer face to face and online counselling to individuals.

I understand that it can feel difficult to reach out to someone for help. I aim to make that first step as easy as possible, by offering you a safe, calm and non – judgemental space for you to explore any current difficulties you are facing, no matter how big or small.

I am particularly interested in the working relationship and believe that it should be at the heart of our work. Building a relationship together which is based on trust is something that I see as key to enabling change to happen. I work alongside my clients to explore difficulties together.

My counselling approach is integrative, which means I am able to take ideas from a number of different therapeutic models and tailor therapy to your individual needs. We will look at the feelings you are experiencing in the present moment and if it feels right for you, work together to see if there are any connections to past experiences, and how they may have an effect on the present.

I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, stress, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, identity issues, self-esteem, anger, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and bereavement.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I adhere to their Ethical Framework for good practice.

I charge £55 per session.
