Pam Sandals

I am a caring and creative professional with a rich and diverse knowledge and understanding to bring to my work. I am a good listener with a person centred and solution focused approach.
My training in Transactional Analysis means I am aware and often work with the child within looking at the impact this may be having in the here and now. I am confident and experienced in working therapeutically with children and young people. I believe in thorough planning and reflection to ensure safe and appropriate therapeutic interventions. I have patience and understanding and always aim to inspire others to be their best self.

I have over 20 years experience working within charities and education to support young people and adults to improve both mental health and emotional wellbeing. This has been in community arts, education, mentoring and counselling. I have extensive experience of supporting children, teenagers and parents at times when emotions can be heightened and boundaries challenged.

As a qualified psychotherapist coming from an art background, and with experience of Art Therapy, I work with clients in both short and long term therapy and bring creativity to my practice. For children and young people I use lots of play, art and creative activities as part of sessions.

I offer safe and confidential psychotherapy and counselling to enable clients to challenge aspects of self that they want to change. I believe we all have the answers to the difficulties we face and together we can explore the patterns of feelings, thinking and behaviour that maybe holding you back from living your best life.
